TJ Edwardz, lead coach, has always wanted to be a musician growing up as a child. "I begged my mother to take piano lessons so much that I used to go over my grandfather's house, sit on his piano, and try to play with radio by ear before she believed I was serious about piano lessons. And the rest was history." By the time TJ decided to go to college, he had NO IDEA what he would major in or what college he would attend. He thought he would be a dentist, or a math teacher but then he decided to major in music. "I had NO IDEA what it took to get a scholarship in college as a music major. The summer before college I asked one of my chorus friends what she thought I needed to do to major in music in college, and she introduced to a man named Dr. Lister. Little did I know that this man would help me get a MUSIC SCHOLARSHIP,  learn songs in foreign languages such as Latin and Italian so that I could impress professors who didn't know me from a can of paint. I didn't have the background and exposure some others may have had, but I did have years of  singing with sunshine band and youth choir at church, I knew how to read music because I took piano lessons, and I had an amazing ear to hear what was happening because of my piano training."
